First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries

This very interesting course prepares participant with knowledge of identification of hazardous marine life, recognition and prevention of possible injuries or illness, and skills on the application of first aid for those injuries.

Topics covered include: jellyfish, fish with venomous spines, blue-ringed octopus, sea snakes, fish poisonings and many more. The theory and video presentations are supported by practical; exercises in bandaging, bleeding control, pressure-immobilisation technique and revision of CPR. Optional additions include oxygen supplemenation and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

This is essential for all sea lovers, and professionals especially open water life guards and safety officers for sea sports centre.

This course includes: 4 hours of theory lecture (with video presentation) and skills training, registration, certification with lamination, use of training aids and consumables, personal DAN student handbook, personal triangular and crepe bandages.
