Perform CPR
(Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation)

(Nationally Recognised in Australia HLTCPR201A)

This course is designed to provide participant with training in techniques and theory for basic cardiac life support; including the recognition and management of the unresponsive victim, expired air resuscitation (EAR) with and without a resuscitation mask, and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with both one and two rescuers. Participant will learn these techniques for both adult and child victims. Participant will also learn standard precautions to minimise the risks of infection. Differences between resuscitation of the near drowned and resuscitation of a person who suffered cardiac arrest due to heart attack will be highlighted.

This course includes: 4 hours of theory lecture and skills training, registration, certification with lamination, use of training aids and consumables (Laerdal manikin, gloves...), personal DAN student handbook, and personal Laerdal pocket mask.
