Already Qualified?
If you already have a diving qualification then a BSAC branch can offer you a regular programme of dives and the opportunity to learn advanced techniques and specialised skills. But the real advantage is in having a group of dive buddies who meet regularly, both for diving and social events, with whom you can gain further experience.
You can start diving with the BSAC straight away. Your existing qualification will be recognised and you will be able to dive with any Branch once you have joined.
The British Sub-Aqua Club welcomes previous diver training by recognised organisations, whether recreational, commercial or military, and can enjoy club diving within their qualification limits. BSAC HQ has devised a 'Table of Similar Qualifications' in comparison with other organisation's training programmes and is kept under continuous review. Some commonly recognised programmes are listed below:

If the Club Diving Officer feels that the skills of a new member, originally trained by another agency, are lacking, the Diving Officer is at liberty to require the member to undertake appropriate refresher training and/or limit their open water diving activities until a satisfactory level of skills performance is demonstrated. |
